I am Amartya.
I started my journey in tech with frontend development, which taught me how interfaces are built. Somewhere along the way, I became more interested in a different question: why do they have to work this way in the first place? That question pulled me into product design.
Today, I design digital products with a particular interest in SaaS & enterprise systems, the kind where I dip my toes in messy and difficult problems. These provide just the right kind of creative stimulation I look for.
I enjoy getting close to the problem, understanding the people and constraints behind it, and designing something that paves the way for future growth.

How I think about design
For me, good design is getting to the root of a problem.
A request for a new screen starts with understanding what the user is actually trying to accomplish, what the business needs, what constraints the system has, and where things are breaking down.
I care about visual design too. A product should feel considered and coherent, while still making the underlying experience easier to understand. Good interface design, to me, comes from the combination of curiosity, systems thinking, and attention to detail.
